Ngozi E. Erondu, MD, PhD, Dr. Erondu is the current Chair of the NAPPSA Implementation Committee.

 The NAPPSA Member of the Month - a forum to recognize and thank a member of NAPPSA who has supported the Association's endeavors. Each month, NAPPSA highlights one member who has gone above and beyond the call of duty. We hope you enjoy learning about your fellow members and always encourage your participation in Association events and activities. 

 
NAPPSA is proud to recognize Dr. Ngozi Erondu, as Member of the Month for May 2011.  Dr. Erondu is the current Chair of the NAPPSA Implementation Committee.

Dr. Erondu is currently the Senior Director of Clinical Development at the Global Alliance for TB Drug Development, a not-for-profit, product development partnership accelerating the discovery and development of new anti-tuberculosis drugs. Prior to joining Global Alliance, he was Senior Director of Clinical Research in the Metabolism department and Product Development Team leader at Merck & Co. Before assuming his position at Merck, Dr. Erondu was a staff physician at the Veterans Administration medical center, Iowa City and Assistant Professor in the Division of Endocrinology, Department of Medicine, University of Iowa. 
 
Dr Erondu is certified by the American board of internal medicine both in the specialty of internal medicine and the subspecialty of endocrinology, metabolism and diabetes. He has led research team efforts in development of numerous drug candidates and implementing clinical development strategies and clinical development plans, including filing strategy and life cycle management.  He has conducted molecular biological research on the regulation of insulin like growth factor binding proteins funded by the National Institutes of Health and the Veterans Administration. 
 
Dr. Erondu is the recipient of several scientific awards and has published extensively in peer-reviewed scientific and medical journals.
