The NAPPSA Member of the Month - a forum to recognize and thank a member of NAPPSA who has supported the Association's endeavors. Each month NAPPSA highlights one member who has gone above and beyond the call of duty. NAPPSA is proud to recognize Nina Mezu-Nwaba, Pharm.D., as Member of the Month for January 2015. Dr. Mezu-Nwaba is a current member of NAPPSA Board and Chair, Membership Committee.
Dr. Mezu-Nwaba is a regulatory and public health pharmacist at the US Food and Drug Administration. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University Of Maryland School Of Pharmacy. Since graduation, Nina has worked in various health-system settings including clinical and community pharmacy.
Dr. Mezu-Nwaba actively participates in various local and International humanitarian missions empowering citizens and bridging the gap in health disparities. Her areas of interest include Tobacco use prevention and education, Women’s and Adolescent Health, HIV/AIDS, Sickle Cell, Malaria, Medication/Device Vigilance, and education on preventable diseases including Ebola. Nina has authored many scientific articles and has given several presentations at local and international conferences.
