Anayo Michael Ukeje, Ph.D. (Chemical Engineering)

NAPPSA is proud to recognize Dr. Anayo Michael Ukeje, as Member-of-the-Month for May 2015. Dr. Ukeje is a current member of NAPPSA Editorial Board.

Dr. Ukeje is a senior consultant engineer at Hospira, Inc.  He has held several senior level positions in the pharmaceutical industry including Development Engineer, Catalent Pharma; Validation and Compliance Consultant, Johnson & Johnson; Manager, Nastech Pharmaceutical; Principal Scientist, Morton Grove Pharmaceuticals; Research Scientist, IVAX Pharmaceuticals; and Research Scientist, Aventis Pharma, UK.

 

Dr. Ukeje is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) specializing in drug product/device development and technology transfer; manufacturing equipment design; equipment/device/process validations; manufacturing process design, optimization, scale-up and transfer; cGMP compliance, and preparation of the Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls section of drug applications for regulatory filing;  and project management with over 16 years of pharmaceutical industry experience and in-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical drug delivery process from concept to launch.. 

 

Dr. Ukeje has authored numerous scientific publications on rheology of disperse systems and pharmaceutical predevelopment processes.  He has filed patents on Steroid Compositions for Use in Dry Powder, Emulsion Process and powder containment trade secret.  Anayo has received numerous awards including Catalent Pharma Solutions, USA “Trade Secret Inventor Award” 2012 and IVAX Pharmaceuticals UK “Make A Difference” (MAD) Individual Award 2003.
