Per Article IX of the NAPPSA Bylaws, all NAPPSA Standing Committees are appointed by the NAPPSA President with approval of the Board of Trustees. Every committee must include at least one member who is not on the Board of Trustees and who has been a NAPPSA member in good standing for a minimum of two consecutive years. The 14 committees below are actively seeking volunteers from the general membership. Two committees, Fellowship and Strategic Visions, are reserved by the Bylaws to specific leadership groups and are listed separately below.

Archive Committee OPEN

Preserve NAPPSA’s institutional record: conference programs, presentations, reports, and tax documents. Chaired by the Secretary.

Audit Committee OPEN

Oversee the integrity of NAPPSA’s financial statements and internal controls. Two seats are reserved for members-at-large (not Executive Committee or Finance Committee members).

Business to Business Committee OPEN

Build relationships between NAPPSA member businesses and outside commercial or governmental partners; supports fundraising activities.

Bylaws Committee OPEN

Review proposals for Bylaws changes before they reach the Board and general membership. Chaired by the Immediate Past President.

Education and Mentoring Committee OPEN

Strengthen pharmacy education, mentoring, and student and trainee matching across the diaspora.

Ethics and Public Policy Committee OPEN

Uphold professional integrity in pharmacy practice and review member conduct matters for Board consideration.

Finance Committee OPEN

Build the annual budget and guide NAPPSA’s fundraising and financial planning. Chaired by the Treasurer; general-membership seats available.

Membership Committee OPEN

Develop strategies to recruit and retain NAPPSA members. At least two seats reserved for members outside the Board.

National Conference Organizing Committee (NCOC) OPEN

Plan and execute the NAPPSA Annual Scientific Conference, from venue logistics to program approval. Chaired by the President-Elect.

Nominations and Elections Committee PREREQUISITE

Oversee nominations and elections for Executive Officers and Board Trustees. Chaired by the Immediate Past President. The two general-member seats require at least 2 consecutive years of active NAPPSA membership.

Program Committee OPEN

Build the Annual Conference program, recruit speakers and moderators, and manage Continuing Education credit requirements.

Scholarship Committee OPEN

Set eligibility criteria, review applications, and select recipients for NAPPSA scholarships.

Website and Publications Committee OPEN

Maintain nappsa.org and NAPPSA’s print and online publications; recommends the NAPPSA Editor and Editorial Board.

Young Professionals Committee OPEN

Champion students and members within 10 years of graduation through mentoring, programming, and Board representation.

Reserved Committees

Fellowship Committee RESERVED

Evaluates and recommends candidates for NAPPSA Fellow (FNAPPSA). Per Bylaws Article IX, all five seats are reserved for current NAPPSA Fellows. If you are an FNAPPSA interested in serving, contact the Immediate Past President.

Strategic Visions Committee RESERVED

Develops NAPPSA’s long-term Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Measures (OGSM). Per Bylaws Article IX, this committee is composed of the Executive Committee plus two Board Trustees and is chaired by the President. It is not open to general volunteer sign-up.
