This September, NAPPSA celebrates twenty years in Denver at our largest Annual Scientific Conference ever. Your gift gives our Local Organizing Committee the freedom to solve problems fast, so nothing stands between our members and the milestone they have earned.
A safety net for the moments no budget can predict
Our Local Organizing Committee builds the Annual Conference budget months in advance, accounting for every session, every speaker, and every square foot of space. But the unexpected does not wait for a budget to be finalized. A vendor cancels. A hotel invoice runs higher than quoted. A shipment of materials does not arrive on time.
The 2026 Conference Contingency Fund exists for exactly that moment: a dedicated reserve our all-volunteer Local Organizing Committee can draw on immediately, without pulling dollars from scholarships, programming, or another part of NAPPSA’s mission to cover a surprise cost.
Why the Contingency Fund matters this year
A conference this size runs on hundreds of decisions made in real time. A funded contingency reserve is what lets our volunteers make those decisions with confidence instead of hesitation, and without ever compromising what our members came to Denver for.

Every dollar in the Fund is a dollar that never has to be pulled from scholarships, CE programming, or student support to cover a surprise cost.

What the Contingency Fund covers
Your gift is held in reserve specifically for the unplanned costs that a fixed conference budget cannot absorb, including:
- Last-minute audiovisual, staging, or technical equipment needs
- Room block attrition or minimum-spend shortfalls with the host hotel
- Replacing a vendor, supplier, or speaker travel arrangement that falls through
- Printing, signage, and on-site material overruns
- Emergency hospitality needs for speakers, sponsors, or attendees
- Any unplanned cost that would otherwise be pulled from another NAPPSA program
