2026 NAPPSA Local Organizing Committee

NAPPSA Local Organizing Committee • 20th Annual Conference

Power the Team Behind Our 20th Annual Conference

This September in Denver, an all-volunteer team of pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists is building NAPPSA’s biggest milestone conference yet, from the ground up. Give directly, or place an ad in the program brochure, either way, your support funds the people making it happen.

Built by volunteers. The moment on stage happens because a team behind it never stopped working.
Who They Are

Meet the team you never see on the program

The Local Organizing Committee is the volunteer engine behind NAPPSA’s Annual Scientific Conference. They are practicing pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists who take on this work on top of their careers, because they believe our profession deserves a conference that feels like home.

They negotiate the hotel contract. They plan a Hospitality Suite that will be catered by an outside vendor bringing real Nigerian dishes, snacks, and refreshments, not a hotel banquet menu. They coordinate volunteers, manage AV and staging, produce the program brochure, and solve the dozens of problems that never make it to the podium.

Why now: This is NAPPSA’s 20th Annual Scientific Conference, our largest and most ambitious gathering yet, in Denver this September. This is the year our LOC needs the most support to get it right.

Every detail, planned. From the stage to the seats, the LOC builds the whole experience.
Why It Matters

Why the Local Organizing Committee needs your support

A conference this size runs on hundreds of decisions, most of them made by volunteers with no staff, no office, and no budget line beyond what our community gives. Your gift is what lets them do this work well.

Hospitality that feels like home

Funding a Hospitality Suite catered with real Nigerian dishes, snacks, and refreshments, the kind of welcome our members remember long after the sessions end.

Volunteers, not vendors

Every hour of planning comes from members giving their own time around full-time careers. Your gift is the budget they do not otherwise have.

A milestone worth doing right

Twenty years of NAPPSA history culminate in Denver this September. This is not the year to leave anything to chance.

Room to solve problems

A funded reserve means the LOC can respond immediately to a vendor issue or a venue surprise, without pulling from scholarships or programming.

No compromise on the member experience

Attendees should feel the care that went into every detail, not the strain of a committee stretched too thin.

Stewardship you can trust

Every dollar is tracked and reported, consistent with NAPPSA’s ongoing commitment to financial transparency for members and donors.

Where Your Gift Goes

What your gift powers

Your gift funds the full range of work it takes to run our 20th Annual Conference well, including:

  • The Hospitality Suite, catered with Nigerian dishes, snacks, and refreshments
  • Audiovisual, staging, and technical production for every session
  • Program brochure printing, signage, and on-site materials
  • Volunteer coordination and support across every committee
  • Venue logistics, including hotel and vendor commitments
  • A contingency reserve, so no other NAPPSA program ever has to cover a surprise cost
A Bonus For Bigger Gifts

Give $100 or more, and advertise for free

Donors who give $100 or more to the Local Organizing Committee Fund are welcome to place a full-page ad, a $100 value, in the printed 2026 Conference Program Brochure at no extra cost. This is entirely optional. If you would simply rather give, that is more than enough, and we are grateful either way.

A note on tax deductibility: Because a program ad has real value, choosing to take the free ad makes part of your gift what the IRS calls a quid pro quo contribution. The ad’s $100 value is not tax-deductible, only the portion of your gift above that amount is. Decline the ad, and your full donation remains tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. NAPPSA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 43-2115497); please consult your tax advisor for guidance specific to your situation.
