Advocacy and Voice: Member Workspace

NAPPSA · Member Voice

Your experience can help shape NAPPSA’s voice.

What pharmacy or public health issue deserves attention? Share the concern, explain the impact and bring the evidence. Help turn practical experience into thoughtful priorities across the Americas, Nigeria and beyond.

Raise an issue

Describe a concern affecting pharmacy practice, research, education or public health and the outcome you would like considered.

Strengthen the evidence

Contribute reliable sources and constructive perspectives to help reviewers understand the issue and its public benefit.

Follow the progress

Track your private receipt and reviewer response as your input moves through the decision process.

Your input matters. Member submissions and discussions are unofficial. Only a Board-approved statement speaks for NAPPSA. Keep patient information and confidential records out of this workspace.

Share your voice

Member submissions are handled directly by the NAPPSA office for now. Contact NAPPSA to share an issue or policy priority.

How NAPPSA decides

Good ideas deserve a clear path from member input to responsible review.

  1. Submitted. Your concern and supporting evidence are received privately.
  2. Screened. Designated reviewers check relevance, evidence, privacy and participation boundaries.
  3. Committee Review. The appropriate committee evaluates the issue and prepares a recommendation.
  4. Board Decision. The Board considers the recommendation under NAPPSA’s bylaws.
  5. Published or Declined. A final statement may be released after approval. If an idea does not proceed, the submitter receives the outcome privately.
Who can see my submission?

Designated reviewers can identify the submitting member. Your private receipt and reviewer response are visible to you. A screened version can be shared with other members only with your permission. Your name and contact information are not displayed on the member idea board.

What topics belong here?

Public health, access to medicines, medication safety, pharmacy workforce, education, research and professional standards. Relevant institutions may include HHS, FDA, DEA, PAHO, state boards and professional bodies in the Americas, and PCN, the Federal Ministry of Health, NAFDAC and PSN in Nigeria. Naming an institution does not imply a partnership or authorization to contact it.

Participation boundaries

NAPPSA welcomes factual education and professional discussion. Current bylaws prohibit legislative lobbying and political campaign intervention. No candidate or party endorsement, opposition or campaign activity is allowed. Policy requests and cross-border representation require appropriate review. This workspace does not provide clinical advice or accept patient information.

Community conduct

Be respectful, specific and evidence-based. Disclose relevant interests. Challenge ideas without attacking people. Share only material you have permission to provide. Do not include patient information, confidential employer records, campaigning or undisclosed commercial promotion.
